Cranium World Champions

Last night between work and the Alzheimer’s meeting I took myself out for a treat: early dinner at Candle Café. Candle Café and Candle 79 are vegan restaurants on the Upper East Side. I’m not vegan (yet?), but I love going to vegan restaurants because I can feel 100% confident that everything on the menu is okay for me to eat. Sometimes at regular restaurants things can seem veg, but are secretly prepared with meat products like chicken stock. Anyway, it was awesome. I had the mushroom barley soup and a glass of pinot noir. I was too shy to take pictures inside but I snapped this one when I left.

The Junior Committee meeting was great, as always, and packed! The biggest one I’ve ever seen, for sure. I love that! After the business part, we moved over to game night, and it was a grand old time. We played a heated round of Cranium and I’m thrilled to report that my team WON! We are awesome. Obviously.

This morning I snoozed a lot, but, by some miracle, my little brain remembered that I wanted to get up and exercise. I slept too late to do anything significant. But thanks to the magic of on-demand programming, I had a bunch of 10-20 minute workouts to choose from!  I did one that was mostly lunges, squats, crunches and push ups. I supplemented with some weights and kettlebells afterwards while my heart rate was still up. It wasn’t a “real” workout but it was certainly better than nothing.

I just learned that my plans for tonight are cancelled and I’m feeling a lot of pressure (from myself, obv) to run. It IS a beautiful day, so I think I can squeeze in a few miles.
